Hey Queens! 

I’m Christa, the founder of BTYQN (Beauty Queen), based in Nanaimo, BC. With over 20 years of experience as a hairstylist, I’ve seen firsthand how the chemicals in hair products can impact our health. Over time, I started experiencing respiratory issues, and I knew I had to make a change.

Dry shampoo was a staple for me and my clients, but traditional aerosol formulas came with downsides, they’re harmful to our health, damaging to the environment, leave behind white residue (especially on dark hair), and make your hair feel… ick. Even dry shampoos marketed for dark hair didn’t blend well. Frustrated with the lack of effective, clean options, I decided to create my own.

I was determined to formulate a non-aerosol, cruelty-free, and toxin-free dry shampoo that actually worked. It needed to absorb oil, add volume, refresh hair without buildup, and smell amazing, without synthetic fragrances. After years of researching ingredients, mixing formulas, and testing them on myself, friends, and clients, BTYQN Dry Drops was born.

Available in shades, light, medium, and dark, to ensure the perfect match for all root colors. What began as a personal mission has now grown into a brand carried in salons and spas across the Country. I’m incredibly proud of how far BTYQN has come and excited to continue bringing clean, effective, and healthy hair solutions to everyone!
